In December, we did a nice little virtual meet up for our Holiday meeting. We were still able to do the President's Challenge voting. This year's challenge was to stitch something using items from nature. Our winner was Diane with this beautiful nautilus shell!
The natural element is the pearls along the bottom. What a beautiful piece and congratulations Diane!
January has been more weekly stitching and continuing with our "new normal." This past weekend (including today) was supposed to be the annual Camp Wannastitch in Ocean City, MD, but as with many things was cancelled due to coronavirus. To keep up the tradition, though, the group met via Zoom on Thursday evening and enjoyed some take-out crab cakes from their local favorite restaurants. We also met again yesterday (Saturday) for a little stitch-in in the afternoon. It was great to see everyone and reminisce about past Camps! Hopefully we'll be able to get together next year!
Coming up on the 27th, we've got our January project which is a beautiful beaded icicle being taught by Patty. The kits and patterns have been sent out to the chapter already and if you have any questions, be sure to attend that week's Zoom meeting!
We've got quite an extensive list of fun projects coming up for 2021. Hopefully at some point this year we'll be able to meet in person again but we'll just take it one day at a time. We hope you all have a safe, healthy, and prosperou
