September was our usual yearly service project. Every year our members buy some fleece and make simple tie blankets to donate to a shelter. This year they went to Beacon of Hope in Pottstown.
This year we decided to add a little bit extra to our blankets and many members created small embroidered patches for the blankets. Our member Fran then graciously brought her sewing machine to the meeting and sewed the patches on for those who had not already done it.
This meeting is always a lot of fun because it's a very simple project. This means we have a lot of time to chat and catch up!
October's project is going to be stitching on a magnolia leaf. All thread and supplies will be provided, just bring your usual stitching items (needle, scissors, pins etc.). It should be a lot of fun!
